Balphagore Guide | Heroes Of Newerth Balphagore Items Guide & Hero Strategy. Balphagore is the new hero introduced in the Heroes Of Newerth Patch 0.3.6  – This hero resembles Doom Bringer & Pit Lord in DotA, It has very good damaging spells & synergy let’s see if this hero gets nerfed in the upcoming patches or not. Hero Introduction:

Balphagore’s gluttonous love of corpses draws him to wherever the Hellbourne’s atrocities are at their worst. Armed with an array of dark powers, this daemon is not to be trifled with when hungry — and Balphagore is always hungry.

Regurgitate (Q)

Balphagore vomits burning demonic bile on all enemies in front of him, damaging and slowing them. Some of the corpses of his previous victims are regurgitated as well, which Balphagore may choose to feast on a second time.

Level 1 : Deals 40 Magic damage per second to enemies in 100 degree cone up to 400 units away. Applies Bile to enemies for 3 seconds.
Level 2 : Deals 65 Magic damage per second to enemies in 100 degree cone up to 400 units away. Applies Bile to enemies for 3 seconds.
Level 3 : Deals 90 Magic damage per second to enemies in 100 degree cone up to 400 units away. Applies Bile to enemies for 3 seconds.
Level 4 : Deals 115 Magic damage per second to enemies in 100 degree cone up to 400 units away. Applies Bile to enemies for 3 seconds.

Mana cost 100/110/120/130

Cooldown 12 seconds

Regurgitates a total of 6 corpses over its duration

Skill Details:

Balphagore regurgitates corpses in a cone in front of him, dealing magic damage in that cone and putting more corpses on the ground.  These corpses can be re-eaten with the Corpse Consumption ability.

Demonic Pathogen (w)

One of the many pathogens festering in Balphagore infects an enemy. The pathogen robs its victim of any spellcasting ability and damages them as the disease runs its course. It then spreads to any of the victim’s nearby allies.

Level 1 : Applies Contagion to target for 1 second. Upon expiration applies Contagion to enemies in 300 radius for same duration.
Level 2 : Applies Contagion to target for 1.5 second. Upon expiration applies Contagion to enemies in 300 radius for same duration.
Level 3 : Applies Contagion to target for 2 second. Upon expiration applies Contagion to enemies in 300 radius for same duration.
Level 4 : Applies Contagion to target for 2.5 second. Upon expiration applies Contagion to enemies in 300 radius for same duration.

Skill Details:

Demonic Pathogen silences a unit and deals magic damage to it over time for several seconds before bouncing the effect to any units in a small radius at the end of the duration or when the unit dies. This is just like a shorter version of Doombringer’s Doom in Dota, except that it also chains to more units just like Hellbringer’s Boil. Demonic Pathogen won’t bounce back to a unit it has already infected.

Corpse Conversion (e)

The decaying flesh and bones stored in Balphagore’s gut fuse into small demonic minions, which Balphagore regurgitates to do his bidding. He produces more minions if he has eaten more corpses.

Level 1 : Spawns a minion for every 3 charges . Max of 6 charges. Minons apply a stacking 1% movement speed slow for 2 seconds.
Level 2 : Spawns a minion for every 3 charges . Max of 9 charges. Minons apply a stacking 2% movement speed slow for 2 seconds.
Level 3 : Spawns a minion for every 3 charges . Max of 12 charges. Minons apply a stacking 3% movement speed slow for 2 seconds.

Level 4 : Spawns a minion for every 3 charges . Max of 16 charges. Minons apply a stacking 4% movement speed slow for 2 seconds.

Skill Details:

With Corpse Consumption, Balphagore will automatically consume any corpse he walks over up to a maximum of 16.  These charges are stored in his massive belly and can be released whenever he wants to create one summoned demonic minnion per every three corpse (for a max of five at a time).  These minnions have a stackable slowing effect and are good for slowing down heroes for a kill or pushing with.

Hell on Newerth (r)

After gaining enough power from nearby enemy spell casts, Balphagore unleashes the infernal power stored inside his gut in an explosive ring of hellfire

Level 1 : Deals 200 Magic damage to enemies within 600 radius. Gains addition effects with more charges.
Level 2 : Deals 300 Magic damage to enemies within 600 radius. Gains addition effects with more charges.
Level 3 : Deals 400 Magic damage to enemies within 600 radius. Gains addition effects with more charges.

• Cooldown 35 seconds
• +40 Charges
• Damage increases to 350/450/550. Applies Hell snare to each enemy hit, cooldown increases to 60 seconds.

• Spawns Volatile Minionism to each enemy hero hit. Volatile minions can be killed by either team. When killed,
they exploit doig 150/225/300 Magic damage to enemies in 200 radius.
• Cooldown increases to 120 seconds.

Charges are gained based on mana spent by nearby enemies. After 10 seconds without a nearby enemy casting a spell,
one charge is lost per second.

• Hell snare: Reduces movement speed by 50% initially, recovering to full speed over 6 seconds

Skill Details:

Hell on Newerth releases an expanding radius of damage around Balphagore much like Corrupted Disciple’s Electric Tide ability or the active effect from Frostfield Plate.  Since Balphagore is an anti-caster, this ability improves by gaining charges just like Mana Battery and Power Supply whenver a nearby enemy hero casts a spell, except in this instance the charges gained are proportional to the mana spent.  If more than 40 charges are present, the ultimate does additional damage and adds a slowing effect to units it hits.  If more than 80 charges are present, it spawns volatile minnions on enemy heroes it hits, which can be attacked by anyone to explode them for additional damage.
